How long does Black Ops 7 last?

Postby coupleslv » 2026 Jan 13, 19:57

The time to complete b07 bot lobby is not long at all, even though the focus this time around is on replayability.

Black Ops 7's duration can be answered by simply saying "not long". The cooperative campaign lasts probably around 5-6 hrs, but there is an ending twist that makes it seem like it could go on forever. Sort of. Please read on to find out more.

How long will BO7 last

It's unlikely that you'll need more than about six hours to get through the main plot. Black Ops 7 has a number of levels but the content isn't very long. While there are some collectibles, such as the usual Intel, that could extend the game, this is probably what you can realistically expect.

5-6 hours of playtime is average

10+ Hours - Completed

It's a little bit difficult to achieve those times as you have to be very determined to make them last. Once you finish the story, Endgame will be unlocked. It is a non-ending mode. The PvE matches are 32-players and four-man squads that can last up to half an hour. The game has you chasing randomized goals while upgrading your character so that it can face more difficult challenges and areas. You can technically play as long or as little as you want, even if you finish Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 within a single session.

Zombies also has a refined feel, and Ashes of the Damned is a perfect introduction to Black Ops 7's version of the eccentric horde game mode. There are many updates coming for this mode. It's a hacked-up version Black Ops 2's Tranzit, complete with a figure-8 map that's huge and an upgradeable pickup truck called Ol' Tessie you get to drive around the dark roads of Dark Aether. It's a game mode that you can get really lost in, but I only mean it as a compliment. As always, this mode is best played in a group.

Black Ops 7 features a global advancement system, which is a first for Call of Duty. It means you can complete challenges for the multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and co-op campaign. You also earn career and weapon experience. In theory, this sounds fantastic, rewarding players regardless of the game they are playing. However, in reality, I feel that it homogenizes Black Ops 7 and leaves a bad aftertaste.

Initially I liked being able to upgrade weapons I would never use in multiplayer. Although I wouldn't use it in multiplayer, Ramboing the MK78 Light Machine in Zombies will unlock all of its attachments. It all becomes the same, however, when Warzone armor plating is introduced into the campaign along with zombie enemies that shamble. It seems like the game wants to keep me interested, so it keeps throwing in doodads.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 offers a vast array of modes, activities, and features that are all best played with friends. But they can be enjoyed alone only rarely. Black Ops 7 also has the strangest campaign, making it one of the most bizarre Call of Duty games.

While I appreciate the Treyarch developers and Raven as well the other eight Activision studios who supported them for taking an unconventional approach in a time-pressed environment to keep the game fresh, there are a few design choices I can't support. While the idea of pushing the boundaries of a Call of Duty title is exciting, certain aspects could be improved by taking a safe approach. Bigger, after all, doesn't always mean better.
